I have put together this music video from the pinning of new Lions, through the Pancake Breakfast, Scholarship family dinner and on to the Metro-Regional meeting and installation dinner. I hope you enjoy the show. I know we enjoyed being a part of it!

It is not Always fun.... But close

Liberty day was celebrated by several elementary school children with the help of Lions Michael Hughes and Luci Sweron. It is all about school age children asking adults about the Constitution of the United States.
Lions Bill and Marcia Newyear and Frank and Joann Wayland attended the Tehachapi Installation dinner which was held at the Tehachapi Apple Shed. Bill Newyear did the installation of the officers which was a real privilege for him. In one picture you will see him with their Sunshine person, Aggie. He recognized Aggie for the beautiful get well card that she handcrafted and sent to him on behalf of the Tehachapi Lions.

Our installation at Shambala and a local concert

Our annual Installation of Officers is always held at Shambala. We were entertained by one of our scholarship recipients, Keenan Hateley. New officers were installed. Gifts of thanks, as well as attendance award pins, were given to several lions that afternoon. The newest members were also honored with new badges. A check of sponsorship was given to Tippi Hedron to help keep Leo in meat for the year. (Leo is our mascot!) A great time was had by all.

Many of the Lions of Acton went to a Bluegrass concert at the Santa Clarita Methodist Church. We totally enjoyed the talent. It was the likes of which you will rarely see or hear. Keenan
played his fiddle solo and with backup by his guitar instructor, Frank Javorset, and our very own Sandy Madsen, his piano teacher. He even played a piece with his mother, Candy (on violin), and a piece with his brother, Ajay ( on mandolin.) We got to hear some cowboy poetry by a local named Josh Seibert and vocals by: Leah DiPaola and also Marcella and Kathy Lively.
